Unfortunately not all shades complement every skin tone. Red lipstick
alone has such a wide variety! Complexions vary just as much as lipstick
shades, so my advice is to always test colors against your skin before
you make a decision. If your skin has more of a pink undertone, I
suggest trying cool-based colors while darker complexions pair well with
warmer, coral hues. I also mix reds all the time to come up with my own
custom shade
Matte lipstick is dry but lasts a long time. Cream lipstick is more emollient than matte. Highlighting or sheer lipsticks tend to bleed. While gloss lipstick is very moist, it does not stay on as long as other formulas. Women who have problems with their lipstick feathering should stay away from lip glosses and always use a lip pencil. Metallic-toned lipstick looks best on women younger than 25. It highlights lip wrinkles. Make sure that your lipstick color harmonizes with your clothes. Mature women should avoid dark lipstick shades, which are aging, as well as lipstick shades that are too soft and make you look washed out.
